HiGi Energy is an ASEAN impact enterprise that reduces the usage of firewood & charcoal by employing rural labors to convert agricultural wastes into convenient greener biomass briquettes to provide cleaner & cheaper alternative cooking energy for rural communities. We are currently converting water hyacinths, a pest plant in the Philippines and all over the world. Our briquettes, which we branded as "Uling Lily", have 3 core features: they are easier to ignite, burn faster, and last longer. HiGi Energy's vision is to bring energy close to people's heart. Our strategies are aligned with 5 of United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals, namely: No Poverty, Good Health and Well-Being, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Reduce Inequalities. We are currently operating in Victoria, Tarlac where our main beneficiaries are located. HiGi Energy has been awarded as one of the TOP 10 of TAYO Awards, Smart's Most Innovative Organization, one of the 3 winning fellows of Impact Hub Manila, and first runner-up in Silicon Valley's TECH-I Competition, among many others.
