Asia Clean Energy Forum 2017

The Asia Clean Energy Forum 2017 aims to share best practices in policy, technology, and finance to meet the region's climate and energy security challenges. ACEF will highlight innovative approaches to packaging and scaling energy initiatives, and take stock of the progress in advancing the clean energy agenda in Asia.

In 2017, ACEF celebrates its 12th anniversary. It will be spread across 4 days instead of the usual 5 days. The Deep Dive Workshops (DDWs) period will be all day Monday 5 June and on Tuesday morning 6 June, and will feature interactive Deep Dive Workshops and Technical Seminars. Each workshop is highly targeted, focusing on specific technologies or policy issues, such as hybrid renewable minigrids, wind energy, solar energy, energy efficiency, renewable energy grid integration, or renewable energy financing.

The Main Forum will start on the afternoon of Tuesday 6 June with an Opening Plenary that brings together senior officials from governments, development organizations, and the private sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the clean energy sector. The rest of the Main Forum will include the four ACEF Thematic Tracks (energy access, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and “the future of energy”), with presentations designed to address a series of important and "hot" topics that are especially relevant to Forum participants.
